Once again, the achievements of our family business have been recognised, for the first time by the Federal Ministry for Digitalisation and Business Location. This makes us one of the top training centres in Austria.

Fewer than 15 companies received the coveted award from the state on 30 May 2022, in the Marble Hall of the Ministry of Economics, for their commitment to the future of young talent.

About five apprentices start their careers with us every year and we are currently training ten. Our specialist areas are kitchen, service and reception. At the same time, we are always open to innovations and cater to individual wishes. True to our philosophy of defining the luxury of the natural, we take pleasure in being responsible for excellent training.

We are committed to welcoming motivated applicants: "We give young people opportunities, pave the way for them and enable them to learn in a professional environment. Furthermore, we offer them a secure job and many opportunities for promotion. We teach the host role, the supreme discipline in the hotel industry. This is exactly what makes our profession so varied, because we like to cater to the individual wishes of our guests and turn their holiday into an overall experience.

Appreciative training with meaning and purpose

At the Nature and Wellness Hotel, the apprentice trainers are certified by the ÖHV (Austrian Hoteliers Association), which contributes to the first-class quality of our training. Likewise, subject-specific webinars, training courses, advanced courses such as cocktail or barista courses, and excursions to regional producers are organised on a regular basis. This also includes, for example, the Döllerer apprentice excursion as a highlight, which perfectly combines theory and practice in wine education on site. In addition, apprentice exchange programmes and job rotation days are increasingly used to show connections within a hotel business and to strengthen cross-departmental knowledge. Furthermore, the Ennstaler Lehrlingsakademie (Ennstal Apprentice Academy) was brought to our leading hotel in order to specifically promote opportunities for further education and training in the region. In addition to the classic apprenticeship training, the apprenticeship with Matura is an attractive career option as well as the lateral entry into the industry within the framework of a second educational path. Of course, we support our apprentices in all matters and value them as team members from the very beginning. In addition to our training plan, there are always generous acknowledgements as a gesture of appreciation for outstanding performance.

Employee benefits

The new Team Quarter will open in autumn. High-quality residential units and common rooms with a particularly high quality of stay will be created. Natural materials, sustainability and design were consciously emphasised to create a feel-good atmosphere for living, relaxing and learning. In the in-house Cantina Alpina, employees can enjoy freshly prepared dishes every day. "We are active together and our regulars' table can be attended by everyone. The hotel infrastructure, including the fitness room and spa, is also open for use by our team," Katrin and Gerhard Höflehner are pleased to say. "The family-like working atmosphere and the motivated environment is good for everyone at the hotel! Those who grow up with us learn all the specialist knowledge and gain practical experience. This is the perfect basis for following an individual career path with success," they both agree.
