At what altitude is your hotel located?
The Nature and Wellness Hotel Höflehner is located at an altitude of 1,117 metres above sea level and can be reached via a 4 km long, well-developed mountain road. The summit of Hauser Kaibling is at 2,015 metres above sea level.

Is the hotel easily accessible by bus or train? Is there a bus connection?

By train: We are happy to offer our guests a free pick-up service from the train stations in Haus im Ennstal as well as Schladming. -
Is there a hiking bus or ski bus at the hotel?
There is no public bus or hiking bus directly at the hotel. During summer, our hotel-owned hiking taxis operate daily to the guided hikes. -
Can you reach the hotel by car via the mountain road?
Yes. The access road to the hotel is fully asphalted and has an average gradient of approximately 10%. During winter conditions, snow chains are mandatory from the turn-off at the main road.

Are dogs allowed at your hotel?
Dogs are very welcome at our hotel. We charge EUR 30 per day (without food). In the room, we provide a dog blanket and a water bowl for your four-legged companion. A paw-cleaning station is available at the hotel
Please note:Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant, bar, or wellness areas. -
Do you offer airport transfers?
We are happy to organise airport transfers from Salzburg and Graz directly to the hotel. -
What are the check-in and check-out times?
On the day of arrival, your room is guaranteed from 3:00 pm. You are welcome to arrive earlier and store your luggage.
On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to vacate the room by 11:00 am. Your luggage can be stored with us for the rest of the day.The wellness area is available:
- on the day of arrival from 1:00 pm
- on the day of departure until 1:00 pm
For an additional charge of EUR 35 per person per day, guests may use the wellness area earlier or longer and enjoy our light lunch (summer) or cake buffet (winter).

Is your hotel family-friendly?
Our hotel is a family-run business in its third generation, and family holidays are very important to us.
We offer excitement, fun and variety for your family holiday, with nature as the main entertainer. In our Nature Hero Kids Club, children aged 3 years and older are well cared for, while parents can relax in our Premium Alpine Spa. For our youngest guests, we also offer the Zwergerlbad. -
Are children allowed in the wellness area?
Children are welcome in selected wellness areas. The main relaxation area for families is our indoor pool with outdoor swimming pool. A dedicated family sauna area is also available. Families are welcome in the relaxation area “Stille Alm”. For our youngest guests, there is the Zwergerlbad, where children can enjoy themselves in their own space. Please note: Our Alpine sauna village is a textile-free nude area and is therefore accessible from the age of 16 only. -
How does your pricing work?
Our room rates are updated daily and depend on the booking date, demand and availability.
This means that booking early pays off, as later bookings – especially during high-demand periods – may be subject to higher prices. We ensure fair pricing for all our guests, whether first-time visitors or long-standing regulars. -
Should I expect any noise disturbances (e.g. traffic)?
On days when we offer live music, it may be faintly audible in rooms located directly above the hotel bar. Due to our mountain location at the edge of the forest, no other disturbances are to be expected. -
Is the Summer Card valid throughout the entire summer?
No. The included Summer Card is valid for the duration of your stay only – from the day of arrival (1:00 pm) until and including the day of departure. Attractions and the cable car ride to the Dachstein Glacier are included in the Summer Card from a stay of 2 nights. -

Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major debit cards, Visa and Mastercard, as well as cash payments.

What are your cancellation policies?
For the winter season, a cancellation period of 6 weeks applies. For the summer season, the cancellation period is 2 weeks. In the event of chargeable cancellations, our standard hotel contract conditions apply. We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance. Our reservations team will be happy to provide you with further information. -
Will my deposit be refunded in case of cancellation?
In the event of a cancellation, your deposit will be converted into an open-ended value voucher, which can be redeemed for a future stay at a date of your choice. Upon explicit request, the deposit can also be refunded. A processing fee of EUR 30 will be deducted. -
Can I take out travel insurance directly through the hotel?
Yes. We cooperate with Europäische Reiseversicherung. You may conveniently take out travel insurance online via our website, or contact us directly and we will gladly arrange everything related to your travel protection. -
We will arrive later in the evening – will food still be available?
Our restaurant is open in the evening until 8:30 pm. Should you arrive later, we kindly ask you to inform us in advance. We will be happy to prepare something for you. -
We are travelling as a couple – may we book a suite? / I am travelling alone – may I book a double room?
Subject to availability (excluding Christmas/New Year’s Eve, February and public holiday periods), you are welcome to book a suite for two guests or a double room for single use. The single occupancy supplement is EUR 30 per night.

I have a voucher and would like to visit the Day Spa. Do I need to register in advance?
Yes, we kindly ask you to register in advance for your Day Spa visit. Please bring your voucher with you and present it at reception upon check-in. Our team will provide you with all relevant information for your day of relaxation. A spa bag with bathrobe and towels will be provided. - Should wellness treatments be booked in advance or upon arrival?
- To ensure your preferred appointment times and a truly relaxing stay, we recommend booking treatments in advance (via email at [email protected] or by phone). Popular afternoon appointments should ideally be reserved at least 14 days in advance. Spontaneous bookings are, of course, also possible on site at the Premium Alpine Spa Front Desk, subject to availability. Treatments included in packages are usually scheduled before 3:00 pm. You are welcome to contact the spa reception in advance to request your preferred time.

Are bathrobes provided, or should I bring my own?
A spa bag with bathrobe and towels is provided for your stay. Please note that slippers are not included. Should you wish, a selection of slippers is available for purchase in the Höflehner Shop. -
What is the water temperature in the pools?

What are the opening hours of the wellness area?
Outdoor wellness area (Alpine sauna village, relaxation houses, Stadl sauna): 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
Olympic sports pool & panoramic floating whirlpool: 7:30 am – 8:00 pm
Indoor pool with outdoor access: 7:00 am – 8:00 pm
Short-term closures may occur due to adverse weather conditions.
- How can I make my stay truly special?For an unforgettable experience, we recommend a Candle Light Dinner in our wine cellar, offering a private gourmet dinner in an intimate setting (EUR 30 per person).

I would like to dine at your restaurant tomorrow. May I reserve a table?
External guests are very welcome to dine with us for breakfast, lunch (à la carte) or dinner (half-board menu, Candle Light Dinner or Fine Dining), subject to restaurant availability.
If you are celebrating a special occasion, please let us know when making your reservation. -
I have food allergies. Can special meals be arranged?
Yes, please inform us as early as possible. Upon advance notice, we are happy to prepare gluten-free, lactose-free, vegetarian and vegan dishes. -
Is the hotel wheelchair accessible?
Thanks to the spacious layout (lifts, rooms, corridors and restaurant areas), it is generally possible to enjoy your stay with a wheelchair.
Please note, however, that full barrier-free access cannot be guaranteed in all areas. -
We have a special table request.
Subject to availability, we are happy to accommodate your table preferences.
Please inform us in advance so our service team can take your wishes into account when planning table arrangements. -
Late Check-Out
We offer the option of a late check-out until 5:00 pm, subject to availability. The surcharge is EUR 40 per person.
