Sleep coaching
If you can sleep, you can be happy!
Restful sleep is the basis for health, vitality and joie de vivre. However, many people struggle to fall asleep, have restless nights or don't feel refreshed in the morning. This is exactly where a sleep coach comes in.
What is a sleep coach?
A sleep coach is a specialised trainer who helps people to improve their sleep quality in the long term. Unlike a doctor, they do not treat illnesses, but work preventively and in an everyday way. Their aim is to prevent sleep disorders, promote inner peace and develop routines that harmonise body and mind.
It is easier to develop new rituals in the tranquillity of nature. A sleep coach will help you to break old habits and establish new routines - so that you sleep well not only on holiday, but also at home.
Why is sleep coaching useful?
Good sleep means: More energy in everyday life | Greater concentration and performance | A healthier immune system | Better stress management | Better quality of life
Interview with Beate about her training:
What does sleep coaching for hotel guests look like?
At the Natur- und Wellnesshotel Höflehner, we see sleep not just as physical regeneration, but as a holistic experience for body, mind and soul. On request, our sleep coaching can begin even before you arrive: Our guests can fill out a daily sleep log two weeks before the start of their holiday and then undergo in-depth sleep coaching on site with one of our two sleep specialists. Here, all factors that influence sleep both positively and negatively are considered. A sleep concept, sleep tips and tricks, relaxation techniques, lifestyle adaptations or nutritional interventions are then considered individually and together so that nothing stands in the way of healthy sleep in the future. Of course, sleep coaching can also be booked spontaneously during your stay without any preparation - our sleep coaches then create a very good anamnesis through a longer initial consultation in order to provide the best possible advice. We also organise regular sleep workshops and short talks - with a focus on nature, ancient herbal knowledge and input from modern sleep research. All this makes the new sleep coaching programme at the Nature and Wellness Hotel Höflehner a real highlight for anyone who wants more than just a good night's sleep.
What simple tips can you give hotel guests to help them get a good night's sleep while travelling?
1. Sleep needs security, rhythm and rituals - both at home and when travelling. Here are three simple but effective tips for travelling: An evening ritual with familiar elements: A lavender scented spray or a small pillow that smells like home in your luggage works wonders. A short breathing exercise such as 4-7-8 or a sleep affirmation also help the body to feel safe despite unfamiliar surroundings.
2. Digital detox before going to sleep: No screens for at least 30 minutes before going to sleep - preferably a book, a journaling impulse or an audio book with a gentle voice.
3. Light management: A sleep mask protects against unfamiliar light stimuli in the hotel room. Blueblocker glasses with red lenses help me a lot to remind my body that the sun has already set and we could actually go to sleep. And even better: re-synchronising the internal clock with a short morning walk or sunlight reset in the morning.
How has guests' awareness of sleep quality changed in recent years?
In recent years, sleep has evolved from an often neglected basic need to a key health issue. Guests today actively talk about problems falling asleep, stress-related insomnia or the feeling of "never being properly rested" - even after a holiday. Sleep is once again being recognised for what it is: the basis for performance, emotional stability and a long, healthy life. Our guests are no longer just looking for wellness, but for real regeneration. This is exactly where we come in - with knowledge, empathy and a special feel-good framework.
What can the Natur- und Wellnesshotel Höflehner offer to improve the sleep of its guests?
Our location alone helps you to sleep really well: at 1,117 metres above sea level, far away from noise, light smog and the hustle and bustle - with clear mountain air, starry skies and the sounds of nature. On arrival at the hotel, our guests can choose the perfect sleeping companions from our sleep menu: Softer mattress toppers, harder mattresses, extra blankets and pillows, bed linen for allergy sufferers, ergonomically shaped neck pillows, as well as pillows from our pillow portfolio (rose slumber, Swiss stone pine, spelt, energetic or mountain herb pillows). During their stay, our guests then experience a gently structured sleep journey - consisting of revitalising yoga and fitness sessions, breathing and mindfulness exercises, knowledge input on biohacking and longevity, herbal knowledge, ice baths, tips for the circadian rhythm, grounding barefoot paths, hikes, lots of exercise in the fresh air and evening yoga & meditation to calm the nervous system. In our individual sleep coaching sessions, we give you enough tools to help you get a good night's sleep at home - we are also happy to follow up by email or phone after your departure.
Our hotel has a cosy atmosphere: in the architecture, the language, the attentiveness of our staff - for many guests, it is the first time in a long time that they have actually slept through the night. Our aim is for our guests to not only sleep well - but better than ever before.
