Hauser Kaibling is the easternmost of the four Styrian ski mountains – Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm. Together, they form the legendary Schladming 4-Mountain Ski Area, offering pure skiing pleasure with 44 lifts and 123 kilometres of slopes. The ski area has received multiple awards, including the title of “Best Ski Resort” (International Ski Area Test) and 5-star ratings from the world’s largest ski portal Skiresort.de for three consecutive years. Perfectly groomed runs, state-of-the-art lifts and guaranteed snow from December to April ensure outstanding conditions throughout the season.
The most beautiful slopes on Hauser Kaibling
It’s often said that the slopes right outside our hotel – at the Höfi Express I & II – are the most beautiful ones on Hauser Kaibling. The real credit, however, goes to lift operator Helmut Höflehner and his dedicated team!
Every day, they prepare around 40 kilometres of pristine slopes with their powerful 490-horsepower snow groomers.
Please note: the slopes are closed between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. for safety reasons, as the grooming machines operate with winches at night. Fresh overnight snowfall means an early morning start for the team – ensuring you can enjoy perfect conditions from the very first turn.

The Höfi Express I is considered a hidden gem among day skiers. It’s the ideal entry point into the Hauser Kaibling and the 4-Mountain Ski Area – usually with little to no waiting time!
